This portal provides access to information on United States Geological Survey (USGS) research projects and other topics in coastal and marine environments of the United States, especially on the west coast and the Pacific Ocean. Research projects can be searched by topic, location, project title, or from a publications list. Other resources include an ask-a-geologist feature, the coastal and marine geology 'InfoBank', the Marine Realms Information Bank (MRIB), an Internet map server, and many others.
