These overviews of selected topics are like mini-courses. Ichthyology includes fish form and anatomy, taxonomy, swimming, senses, reproduction, with good illustrations. Coral reef fish ecology covers fish identification, roles of competition and predation. Ecology unit offers definitions, describes energy transfer, materials cycling, niches, species diversity. Coral reef covers coral biology, anatomy, and bleaching. Mangroves unit offers species profiles and habitat descriptions. Oceanography lesson presents seawater properties and chemistry and ocean circulation. Scientific references for some.
