COSEE
is
a
network
of
seven
regional
centers
(East
Coast,
Gulf,
and
West
Coast)
that
act
locally
and
regionally.
Its
aim
is
to
promote
the
development
of
partnerships
between
research
scientists
and
educators,
to
disseminate
effective
ocean
sciences
programs
and
best
practices,
and
to
promote
a
vision
of
ocean
education
that
will
create
a
more
scientifically
literate
workforce
and
