There are a number of examples given in this resource of geoscientists doing interesting work in interesting places. While the resource is good at showing the diversity of the work, there may be simply too many case studies and students tend to get tired of reading "one more example." A better way to use this resource is to have students pick three or four of the examples and read them and then respond to simple questions that can be used as "talking points" for discussion in class. The resource is valuable for discussion in the early part of an introductory geoscience class, introducing the wide range and diversity of the geosciences.

This site is easy to use and provides the learner with information via pictures and easy-to-read text.

The only advice I would give is to browse through the sections and read and reread the articles several different times.
