I prepared a set of questions for students to use to start exploring the source including finding the 5 part definition of a mineral, examining and explaining the differences among the various classes of minerals and examining and explaining the most common physical tests used on minerals. Once students began to identify minerals in class - they used the resource as a reference to see if other characteristics might be explained. The images also were found to be very useful.
