This resource is used in The Feeding Frenzy: Seasonal Upwelling Teaching Box, Lesson 2, activity 3: "Upwelling and Wind Patterns". It is used to provide a description of upwelling, as a demonstration of how northerly winds are bent towards the west because of the spinning of the Earth, and as an extension activity.
