This NASA-hosted site is a section of the Mars Pathfinder Science Results Directory with a specific emphasis on the geologic and geomorphic characteristics observed. Many photos and satellite images are available, with the option to view and download full size images. Scientific theories are offered as to the probable geomorphic agents sculpting Mars' surface.

In this lesson students explore the idea of water on Mars. Many active links allow the students to come to their own conclusions about water on Mars and explore how Earth might appear from space without water. Other links provide the students with the opinions of experts. This is the eighth in a series of interactive student lessons from the Martian Sun Times.

This interactive activity lets you explore the Gusev Crater on Mars in 3D. This is the landing site for the MER rover in January 2004. The 3D model was created using data from orbiting spacecraft. You can examine the surface from a distance, changing lighting to enhance features, and fly over the surface, looking for markers hidden in the terrain.
