Helping Your Child Learn Geography
This booklet, published in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Education and the National Geographic Society, is designed to help adults stir younger children's curiosity about geography with the help of suggestions for simple activities. Topics include how to help young children learn location and direction, how to teach them to read maps, how to teach the concept of place, how to teach about the relationships among people and places, and many others.
