This is the homepage of the United States Geological Survey's (USGS) Educational Resources section, which features scientific information intended to help educate the public about natural resources, natural hazards, geospatial data, and issues that affect quality of life. Materials include articles about news and events, and special interest items such as links to maps, resources on our changing planet, and careers in science or with the USGS. For educators, there are sets of lessons, data, maps, and other resources grouped by grade level. The resources for each grade level are arranged by subject and are accompanied by symbols to indicate resource type, designate internet resources, and indicate cost (if any). There is also a set of resources (publications and websites) which are linked to an established list of Science and History-Social Science content standards for the State of California.
