This site provides the syllabus for Dr. Barb Dutrow's class, taught at Louisiana State University, entitled Earth Materials and the Environment. The course examines minerals and mineral dusts as both problems and solutions to environmental issues, as well as public policy. The syllabus includes direct links to required readings in the current literature, in-class overheads, and practice exams.
