Creative Commons (CC) is a non-profit organization working to redraw the copyright landscape by using licensing agreements that offer a greater degree of freedom to those who would reshape or redistribute copyrighted material. Geared toward artists and educators, this website provides information about CC and its mission to expand the range of creative work available in the public domain. The site describes the conditions of CC's four basic licensing agreements, why someone might prefer a CC license to a standard copyright of their material, and how to get a CC license. It also features links to works recently freed under new CC licenses, copyright issues in the news, and a monthly newsletter.
