Metamorphic Mineral Assemblages
This set of lecture notes covers factors affecting the mineral assemblages in metamorphic rocks. Topics covered include the phase rule in metamorphism, progressive (prograde) metamorphism, and retrograde metamorphism. Ternary diagrams and chemical reactions are used to explain progressive metamorphism.
