ATLAS-1: Studying Mysteries in Earth's Atmosphere DLESE Reviewed Collection
This resource consists of an activity book and 20 slides with descriptions describing the first Atmospheric Laboratory for Applications and Science (ATLAS) mission, which flew on STS-45 in 1992. ATLAS 1 collected data to help better understand the chemistry of the atmosphere, the energy output of the Sun, the behavior of high-energy particles as they reach the atmosphere and the structure of the universe.
