The Explorit Science Center is a regional, hands-on exhibits facility providing both onsite and, with the Explorit Van, offsite science educational programming to small and large groups. The Center has a number of changing hands-on exhibits called "explorits" developed in-house for each annual season of public exhibitions. For groups, Discovery Lessons are available which support math and science education, and state and national educational standards alignments are included for reference. Additionally, Discovery Lab experiences can be added to your Explorit visit, and Teacher Enrichment Resource Packets are available online. Week-long spring and summer science classes are also held at the Center, emphasizing hands-on activities, experiments, and problem solving skills. The web site offers a variety of resources including interactive quizzes and challenges, Science Facts, Stumpers, Earth?s Planets, Science Bytes, Quotations, a virtual tour of the Galapagos Islands, and many more.
