Global Methodology for Mapping Human Impacts on the Biosphere
This is the homepage of the GLOBIO (Global Methodology for Mapping Human Impacts on the Biosphere) consortium, an initiative to develop a global model for exploring the impact of environmental change on biodiversity. Site materials include news and announcements, information on the GLOBIO modeling methodology, and information on GLOBIO partner organizations. There are also links to selected highlights from the study, including the worldwide distribution of human impacts and biodiversity in the Western Hemisphere (Latin America, the Caribbean, United States, Canada). There is also information on how GLOBIO works, as well as videos, animations, and maps detailing human impacts in other regions of the world.
