This lesson plan, from the PBS television series 'Ocean Adventures', involves students in gathering information about the careers of the various members of the Ocean Adventures expedition team as well as learning about the strengths of having a team of diverse individuals working on a task. As part of the lesson, they will read an interview with a team member and record particular aspects of the member's career, then creatively present this information to the class. Materials include a student handout, National Science Education Standards, Ocean Literacy Essential Principles and Concepts, suggestions for extension activities, and links to additional references. A downloadable, printable version is also provided.
