Climate Change: Great American Desert? DLESE Reviewed Collection
In this activity, students will assume the role of agronomists gathering and evaluating information about climate change and its possible effects on grasslands in western Nebraska and eastern Colorado. They will examine data related to temperature change, examine satellite imagery of Garden County Nebraska, and examine different varieties of grasses. They will then develop and present to the class an hypothesis about plant growth and an experiment to test it. Links are provided to tools, datasets, references, and tutorials needed for the activity.
