Exploring and Collecting History Online
Exploring and Collecting History Online (ECHO) aims to record the stories of scientists and the ever-expanding, ever-accelerating history of recent science and technology. The project is based at George Mason University's Center for History and New Media. ECHO provides an annotated, centralized guide to websites on the history of science and technology, specifically looking at earth sciences, engineering, physical sciences, computers and information technology, life sciences, consumer technology, medicine and behavioral sciences, industrial and military technology, and aviation and space exploration. In addition, the Memory Bank page allows users to post and read others' personal thoughts about significant moments in history pertaining to science and technology.
