SimSolar is a solar system simulator for classroom or personal use. The positions of the sun, moon and planets are displayed for any date selected. Tilt and rotate the entire system to view from any vantage point. Set the system in motion and watch the planets move around their orbits. Search for planetary alignments or see the phase of the moon for any selected date. SimSolar can display the sun, planets and orbits to proper scale. The user can zoom out and view the whole solar system or zoom in for a better look at the inner planets. Small labels can be turned on, which follow the planets through their motions. This software is free for a 30 day evaluation period; the registered version includes NASA planet images, a photo-realistic Moon Phase Display and a full-featured Galilean Moons of Jupiter Simulator.
