fire.org is the home page of Systems for Environmental Management (SEM), a Montana nonprofit research and educational corporation. The site features publications and downloadable software packages developed in cooperation with the Fire Sciences Laboratory of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station. They include scientific publications, informal papers, and simulation and analystical software, intended for the community of professional fire and land managers and planners, that address issues concerning wildland fire planning, behavior, fuel, weather, and effects.
