Protect Your Home, Forest and Property From Wildfire
This reference provides suggestions for homeowners on how to protect their houses and properties from wildfires. Topics include the particular risk of wildfires in the State of Colorado; construction, design, and materials that reduce fire susceptibility; and landscaping with plants that are both fire-and drought-resistant. There are also links to information on landowner assistance programs, Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs), and contact information for the Community Forestry Division Supervisor.
