Early Cretaceous Tethyan Stratigraphy
This forum is intended to assemble detailed knowledge of Early Cretaceous stratigraphy in the Tethyan realm, that portion of the 'Tethys Ocean' that occupied what is now southern Europe during the late Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Findings are chronologically ordered from the beginning of the site development to the present, as forum reports, web links, and referenced papers. Forum reports are available via email from the person responsible for the summary. If a forum is in current session, site visitors are welcome to participate. The research approach is carried out through the integration of basin reference sections (stratotypes), basin or platform control sections, biostratigraphic data, and sequence stratigraphy (plus any information which should support correlations). A site search enables the resource user to pinpoint specific topics.
