When
it
is
summer
in
the
southern
hemisphere,
the
ice
sheet
decreases
in
size.
As
the
ice
sheet
melts,
it
releases
fresh
water
into

ocean.
In
the
southern
winter

summer),

refreezes,
drawing

water
out
of

ocean,
