In this activity guide, students use various mathematical skills in the context of examining an ISS EarthKAM image (ISS 004.ESC1.03221557) of farmland in Texas and New Mexico. They randomly select a sample region of the image, count the number of fields in that region, and estimate how many fields are in the entire image.
