In addition to the issues and thematic areas listed in the For educators menu, there are many other activities that educators can engage in that both contribute to DLESE and connect to the larger educational community.

K-12 area

This area focuses on special needs of K-12 educators and includes collections specifically designed for K-12, information on National Science and Geography Standards, and suggestions for optimizing use of DLESE resources in K-12 environments.

Teaching with data

Here you will find information on efforts to make Earth system data available to and usable by educators and learners. This area includes resources, data-related tools and services, and summaries of important library development efforts.

Evaluation & assessment

This area links to information on evaluation and assessment, including tools for designing and conducting evaluations of interest to DLESE educators and reseachers.
