Digital Discovery System - OverviewThe Digital Discovery System (DDS) is a Java-based open source XML repository, search and discovery system that is built with Lucene. Its repository is accessed through Web service APIs that may be used for a wide variety of applications. Using DDSCollection Manager - View and manage collections and items in the repository using a Web interface. Search Service API - Search the repository and access it's contents using a RESTful Web service API. Repository Update Service API - Create, update and delete collections and items in the repository using a RESTful Web service API. Installing and Configuring DDSDownload DDS - Download the DDS software. Installation Instructions - Install DDS in a Tomcat servlet container. Configure Data Sources - Configure DDS to use either the NSDL Data Repository (NDR) or the file system as a data source.
