Access controlled vocabularies

DLESE supports several metadata frameworks, ADN, DLESE-IMS, collection, annotation and news and opportunities, each with different controlled vocabularies. Each controlled vocabulary is an individual XML schema file. In addition to this XML representation, DLESE provides definitions for each vocabulary term. To access the XML schema documents or the vocabulary definitions, please refer directly to the overview page for each metadata framework (left-side menu) or click on the quick links below:

ADN metadata framework version 0.6.50

  • Alphabetical list of XML schema files (lists the individual terms without definitions)
  • Documentation (lists individual terms and definitions but requires knowledge of the metadata field of interest)

Annotation metadata framework version 1.0.00

  • Alphabetical list of XML schema files (lists the individual terms without definitions)
  • Documentation (lists individual terms and definitions but requires knowledge of the metadata field of interest)

Annotation metadata framework version 0.1.01

  • This framework will be deprecated in Jan. 2006
