The following describes the differences and changes between annotation version 0.1.01 and version 1.0.00.
Contributor - (person or organization) is now required metadata
Person must have first name, last name, institutional affiliation, email, role and date of contribution; can also indicate whether to make the person's name and email displayable information
Organization must have name, role and date of contribution; can also indicate whether to make the organization displayable information
Annotation type - changed the controlled vocabulary (see type.xsd)

Format - new metadata field to capture the format part of the version 0.1.01 status field; uses a controlled vocabulary

Role - the controlled vocabulary has been expanded (see roleAnnotation.xsd)

Namespace - the namespace of the metadata record has been changed from http://www.annotation.dlese to http://www.dlese.org/annotation in case users actually go to the URL, they will land at an active URL
Context - the context idea (indicating the exact web page in the web-based resource being annotated) has been kept as is
